Strike and Load Out (8)
February 10th at Fisher Pavilion
10am-3pm
Clean Up will take place the day after the auction. Dress casually and be ready to get down and dirty with load out. Handiness with power tools and ability to lift heavy awkward objects a plus.
Art Wall Loaders (6)
February 6th (6)
3pm-5pm
Do you love heavy lifting? We need a dozen burley individuals to meet us at our storage space and help us load our art walls into a moving truck. That’s it!
Art Wall Installation (16)

Need more exercise in the new year? Here’s an opportunity to get a little work out and help artists. Be there with your tool belt on! (tool belt not required) Must be comfortable with power tools and heavy lifting.

Professional Art Installers (Full)
9am until finished at Fisher Pavilion
Art installers make sure the art is displayed according to artist’s specifications.

Art Hangers (Full)

All of the below volunteer positions will take place on February 9that Fisher Pavilion. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
Last Minute Prep Crew (Full)
12pm-5pm
Dress comfortably because you’ll be a running around making sure everything is perfect for our guests before they arrive.
Performance Coordinator (Full)
5pm-10pm
The Performance Coordinator ensures that performers are checked in and on stage at the right time. The PC also coordinates the performer’s needs with the sound technician.
Dress like an art star with sensible shoes, you will be on your feet.
Live Handlers (Full)
5pm-10pm
Live Handlers/ Models are responsible for taking the Live Auction art off the wall, in order and taking it up to stage for the auctioneer to Auction off. These volunteers must wear all black and handle art with care. Once the work has been auctioned off, the handler then takes the art to the packing room.
***Experience handling art is a must.
Silent Runners (Full)
5pm-10pm
Silent Runners are responsible for closing the silent auction down by circling the highest bid on the silent auction sheets once the auctioneer announces the end of the silent auction section, taking sheets to be filed and then removing the work from the walls and taking it to the packing room. Dress like an art star with sensible shoes, you will be on your feet and will need to move quickly.
Spotters (Full)
5pm-10pm
The spotters are the eyes of the auctioneer. Spotters keep an eye on bidders and point to them in the audience during the live auction. Must be willing to draw attention to yourself and be comfortable with a magic wand! Dress like an art star.
Food Service (Full)
5pm-10pm
Attention Food industry personnel! Our food service volunteers will assist the caterers with getting desserts and beverages to our guests. You will also pass hors d’oeuvres and bus tables to keep the evening clear of clutter by removing dinner wear and glasses from tables.
***These people must be able to keep focused and moving.
***Food service experience required.

Jewelry Monitor (Full)
5pm-10pm
The jewelry monitor is responsible for keeping their eyes on the prize at all times to ensure that the jewelry does not get stolen! Dress like an art star with sensible shoes, you will be on your feet.
*** This person must have eyes like a hawk and cannot move from the station without a replacement.
Security/Greeters (Full)
5pm-10pm
Greeters are responsible for welcoming guests upon their arrival, directing traffic flow and answering any questions as guests wait to register. Greeters should know the event forward and backwards such as; the check-in and check-out procedure, where the restrooms are, the coat check, the schedule of events.
***Dress Warm because the first half of shift you will be outside! Layers recommended.
Coat Check (Full)
4pm-10pm
6pm-11pm
Coat Check will welcome our guests and guard their precious belongings so that they can be worry free and focus on buying art! Dress like an art star with sensible shoes.
Bartenders (Full)
4pm-9pm – set up and reception crew
5:30-10:30 – Heavy traffic time!
Bartenders are responsible for providing specialty cocktails as well as non-alcoholic beverages to guests. They are also responsible for not over serving guests.
*** These people must be experienced in bar service and have good customer service skills.

Beer and Wine Pourers (Full)
5:30-10:30
6pm– Midnight – dinner and cleanup crew.
A very important job, as the beer and wine pourers will keep the drinks flowing throughout the event! You will work at pouring stations and some table service during dinner. You will also assist our bar manager with packing up at the end of the night.
***excellent customer service skills a must.
***Pease wear all Black.
Art Wrappers (Full)
6:30pm-11:30pm
The art wrappers are responsible for the wrapping of the artwork once it is auctioned off. It comes from the main area via the art handlers and then is packaged well for pick up. You will be responsible for ensuring the artwork is given to the correct winning bidder. This is a great position for those who prefer to be behind the scenes. You will not be very visible however, it’s fun to see all of the artwork up close and which bidder won which pieces! Dress comfortably, this is active work.
*** These volunteers must be meticulous, calm and steady. Experience handling art is a plus.
Golden Ticket Sellers (Full)
5pm-10pm
The Golden Ticket is a raffle ticket that gets drawn before the Live Auction begins. The winner of the Golden Ticket wins an artwork of their choice from the live auction. The Golden Ticket is sold in groups of four for $100 (value of $25/each). The Golden Ticket Seller is responsible for selling up to 25 packs of four to donors. You can accept cash, check or credit card. Once the buyer has purchased their ticket, you give them beads to wear around their neck which signifies they are a buyer as well as their tickets. You must record their names and number of tickets on the clipboard. We will also need you to help with traffic flow at the end of the evening during check out.
***These people must be very outgoing, friendly and persuasive but not pushy.
***Dress in all gold clothing, with comfortable shoes, seriously, break out the gold lamé!!
Registration/Cashiers (Full)
4pm-9pm
7-midnight
Registration ensures that every pre-registered patron receives their bidder packet and every person unregistered receives a smooth entry into the event.
Cashiers are responsible for the handling of moneys- for ticket sales and art purchases!
***Retail experience and excellent customer service skills are required.
***Dress in warm art star layers with comfortable shoes. You will be sitting near a drafty door.
