  5. Artist statements and resumes are hard to write, but they are an important way of explaining who you are as an artist. In this workshop, led by painter , youll look at examples of successful artist statements and resumes from artists of all disciplines and then revise your own. Youll leave with solid drafts of a statement and resume to use when applying for grants and residencies and as part of your website or portfolio.

A Reading with Nicole Hardy, Elissa Washuta, and Kristen Young Artist Trust presents a reading with memoirist Nicole Hardy, essayist Elissa Washuta, and novelist Kristen Young, all of whom will be visiting Port Townsend from Seattle for Artist Trust's EDGE program.   8. ArtWalla’s fourth annual ArtSquared will bring artists and art lovers together for a fun and exciting 3-day visual art event in Walla Walla! Featuring nearly a thousand 6X6" works of art, each attractively priced at $36, ArtSquared will benefit arts education in the Walla Walla Valley.

October 2016

  1. A day long festival celebrating the ukulele as well as other stringed instruments, and the people who create music with them, encouraging a true sense of community among musicians, participants and audience. Beginning and skill-enhancement workshops will be offered throughout the day at the Kitsap Conference Center, culminating with a concert at the Admiral Theatre in the evening.
