Artist Trust Grant Selection Panelists are announced after each grant round on our website, in Art Source and through press releases. If you are interested (or know someone who should be!) in becoming a panelist for one of our grant programs, please read "How to be a panelist" below. If you seek further information, please contact Monica Miller, Director of Programs, 206/467-8734 x10 or monica@artisttrust.org . HOW CAN I BE A GRANT SELECTION PANELIST? Artist Trust grants and fellowships are distributed each year through a competitive selection process, with recipient selections being made by peer panels of artists and arts professionals. These panels are comprised of individuals, working in all creative disciplines, from around Washington State. We continually seek nominations of artists and arts professionals to serve on our Selection Panels. Serving as a Selection Panelist demands a substantial time commitment. Selection Panelists must review applications and all manuscript submissions one month prior to the panel meetings. At the panel meeting, the panelists then, as a group, discuss the applications and review the supporting materials, which include slides and tape submissions, artist résumés and work sample descriptions. Artist Trust provides a modest honorarium and covers transportation and lodging for panelists living outside the Puget Sound area.
Artist Trust works hard to convene panels representing geographic, stylistic, cultural and gender diversity. Please keep in mind that many of the artists nominated may not be solicited due to the specific needs of each panel. We will, however, keep your nomination form on file for future consideration.
