The North/South Consonance ensemble seeks contemporary compositions for solo or mixed chamber ensembles. Entry fee is $25. Accepted works will be incorporated into the ensemble's 2008-2009 season (performed in NYC) and will be recorded and released professionally.

Columbia Gorge School of Theatre seeks a musical director for the 2008 Summer Performing Arts Camp to be held June 22nd to August 11th, 2008. This position is responsible for teaching music and singing classes, directing musical theatre productions, works with the Artistic Director, serves as a pre-summer consultant. Guitar Foundation of America seeks artists to participate in the 26th Annual International Solo Competition to be held in San Francisco from August 5th through 10th, 2008.

Potter's Violin Instruments Awards donate six Rudolph Doetsch instruments annually to students in need. Three instruments- violins, violas or cellos of any size, will awarded each round. Applications must be made by a member of the American String Teachers Association on behalf of the students (elementary through high school).
