The Mayor's Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs (formerly known as the Seattle Arts Commission) provides funding for Seattle organizations and individual artists and manages the city's public art program. The office's Web site features an opportunities section, a one-stop shop for the latest arts-related jobs, funding sources, calls for artists and training opportunities. An online Public Art Roadmap offers detailed step-by-step information on building a community public art project and includes sample projects, first-person stories of people who completed community public art projects, an encyclopedia, detailed contacts and a glossary. The agency's eNews provides monthly information about arts-related events, workshops, issues, ideas and city of Seattle resources. The Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs also manages the Arts Resource Network (www.artsresourcenetwork.net), an online resource for artists and organizations which includes Space-finder, a directory of rehearsal, performance and event space and Arts Education Link, designed to connect artists and educators.
