Art on the Avenues, a year-long outdoor art exhibit in Wenatchee, seeks new sculpture to borrow for the 2010-2011 exhibition beginning in May.
Art on the Avenues is a year-long outdoor exhibition in Wenatchee featuring Art on the Avenues sculptures, loaned sculptures, and City of Wenatchee collection pieces. Artists agree to loan their works to the organization for one year, during which time their pieces are displayed outdoors or in other public places. The organization purchases at least one sculpture each year and encourages the sale of pieces (unless artist specifies otherwise). At the end of the year, unsold sculptures are returned to artists and the exhibition is refreshed. The current exhibit is over 70 pieces of sculptures and more than 15,000 walking tour maps are distributed annually throughout North Central Washington. To participate in this program contact Angie Battalio-Bunker at 509.885.9048 or heikelouise@yahoo.com. Art on the Avenues (AotA) is a 501c3 non-profit organization run entirely by a volunteer board.
