The Bainbridge Island Arts and Humanities Council (BIAHC) invites applications from individuals and organizations seeking financial support for projects, programs, and events that benefit the Bainbridge community. The Arts and Humanities Fund is financially supported by the City of Bainbridge Island and managed by BIAHC with the goal of increasing access to, participation in, and awareness of the arts and humanities and multi-cultural experience. The disciplines identified as arts and humanities include performing, visual, literary and media arts, design, history, philosophy, ethics, comparative religion, cultural anthropology, and the history and criticism of the arts.
Projects may start as early as March 1, 2007, and be completed by February 28, 2008. In 2006, sixteen applications were funded for a total of $33,050. Awards in 2006 ranged from $700 TO $4992
