Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Council seeks Shoreline Arts Festival Coordinator

The Festival Coordinator is an independent contract position for event management and coordination of all aspects of the Shoreline Arts Festival, an annual event of the Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Council (SLFPAC) held the 4th weekend in June. 2007 dates are Saturday, June 23 and Sunday, June 24. The Coordinator reports to the SLFPAC Executive Director.

The Shoreline Arts Festival Coordinator’s responsibilities include:
-Chair the volunteer Festival steering committee
-Recruit and manage Festival volunteers
-Plan and organize all Festival activities in keeping with the budget and time-line
-Coordinate Festival vendors (Food, Craft)
-Coordinate Festival performers - Showmobile, Stage (Music, Dance)
-Oversee Festival publicity and media relations
-Solicit and renew Festival corporate sponsorships
-Maintain Festival Notebook; produce a written Final Report
-Practice excellent communication skills with staff, volunteers, the public
-Show initiative to further the mission of the Arts Council

Compensation: This is a part-time position with flexible hours, with a pay rate determined by experience.
