Summer internship, Education Department. Primary duties will include administration and communication details as they relate to the summer camps -- monitor camp progress, coordinate weekly celebrations, etc. Other responsibilities may include: class registrations; developing KAC art education promotional materials; audience development; and special event assistance. The position requires a commitment of 22-28 hours per week. The position will run from June - August with some flexibility in start and end dates. Schedule to be determined, but will definitely include 8:30 a.m. start time June 25-July 27. Requirements: Arts and/ or youth education interest. Strong written and oral communication skills. Some previous customer service. Ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment. Computer skills. Organized. Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).  Familiarity with Photoshop and Indesign Objectives: To gain the following: A general understanding of arts education administration; Understanding of the inner workings of a busy non profit;Experience with outreach and marketing. Compensation: Stipend or class credit available, and one free art class at KAC To apply: Mail or email resume, three references available for phone interview, and cover letter identifying your interest at KAC and expectations for the internship Attn: Myra Kaha mkaha@kirklandartscenter.org
