Washington State Arts Commission seeks a half-time Conservation Technician. A part of the Art in Public Places Program staff, the Conservation Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and specialized conservation of artwork in the State Art Collection, including more than 4,600 architecturally integrated, free-standing, and portable works of art sited statewide at colleges, universities, public schools, and state agencies. Experience in sculpture fabrication, outdoor sculpture care, artwork installation, and standard art-handling procedures are required, along with a valid WA driver's license. The position is based in Olympia and is represented by a labor union contract. Download a complete position description at www.arts.wa.gov Contact: Kristine Bartruff |
