Carnegie Fund for Authors Carnegie Fund for Authors offers aid to authors. Authors must have had at least one book published commercially that has received reader acceptance. Grant aid is provided to those applicants who have suffered a financial emergency as a result of illness or injury to self, spouse or dependent child, or for some other misfortune that has placed the applicant in pressing and substantial verifiable need.
