Pratt Fine Arts Center / Seeks Youth Art Works Manager 

Job Title: Youth Art Works Manager

Compensation: $13 an hour at 24-30 hours a week

Structure: This position reports to the Education Director. This is a part-time hourly position. Works closely with Executive Director, Education Director, Education Associate, Youth instructors, Youth Art Works evaluator, and partnering organizations.

General Duties: The primary responsibility of this position is to manage, provide administrative and project support, and vision for the Youth programs.

Responsibilities:
•Manage hiring and evaluating instructors
•Create curriculum with Pratt instructors, evaluator, and Washington Middle School
•Assist in developing a Teen Program
•Coordinate scheduling of classes and events
•Foster Partnerships- Urban League, Chinese Information and Service Center, Washington Middle School, YMCA
•Ensure that the goals of various Youth Art Works grants are being fulfilled
•Administer the evaluation for Youth Art Works
•Assist the grantwriter with coordinating certain aspects of grant applications
•Exhibitions and publicity- postcards, press releases
•Plan celebrations for youth and purchase supplies
•Substitute as a teaching assistant when instructors are on leave
•Plan future Youth Art Works and Kids Art Works projects and partnerships
•Organize and give tours for kids groups with hour long activity
•Manage Kids Art Works
•Manage budget
•Assist Education Department when needed

Qualifications:
•Love of Art.
•Sense of Humor.
•Flexible.
•Experience working with youth and youth programs
•One year of Youth Art experience.
•One year of art teaching experience.
•Superior communication skills.
•Excellent writing skills.
•Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
•Problem solving skills.
•Good judgment.
•Ability to work with multiple work styles and personalities

Special Abilities: Communicate effectively both orally, and written. Ability to be trained on the job quickly, efficiently and accurately. Ability to keep a positive demeanor under sometimes stressful work environment, with an ability to adapt to an evolving organizational structure.
