Pratt Fine Arts Center is a nonprofit arts education and resource center located in Seattle and founded in 1976. Pratt serves over 3200 students and over 500 working artists each year in the areas of glassblowing, cast glass, flameworked glass, metal sculpture, bronze casting, stonecarving, jewelry and metalsmithing, woodworking, printmaking, painting and drawing. General Duties: The primary responsibility of this position is to process and maintain the enrollment data and financial payment records for all Pratt class enrollments, memberships and studio access. This position must implement and control all the details of the registration process and the databases associated with registrations, memberships, and studio access. The registrar also resolves all student, member or user concerns relating to the registration and payment process. Qualifications: Love of Art, sense of humor, adept problem solver, bachelor’s degree in related field, with 3 years related experience preferred, self starter with penchant for details and meticulous work habits, ability to multi-task and manage details with accuracy in distracting and playful environment, excellent planning, organizational, teamwork and communication skills, ability to adapt to cyclic work flow and manage periods of high volume work dependent on quarterly course schedule, ability to address and resolve student, user, visitor and other requests and personal situations with empathetic understanding and firm dedication to policies, demonstrated ability to communicate well with a broad range of individuals including; artists, volunteers, vendors, donors and staff, demonstrated ability to be discreet in managing confidential information, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with an emphasis in Excel; experience working with databases mandatory; specific knowledge of Filemaker and Microsoft Access a plus.
