Foundation for Contemporary Arts Foundation for Contemporary Arts offers the Grants for Immediate Needs program as a mechanism to provide modest support - quickly - when artists have sudden opportunities to present their work to the public. Grants are made for unexpected expenses when projects are close to completion or for sudden work-related opportunities. Requests are often made from artists who are “emerging” and not widely recognized and have few sources of financial support. Applicants are asked to write a letter describing the project or opportunity, the timeliness of the situation and how a specific amount would help accomplish the goal.
