Seattle Film Institute

The Seattle Film Institute, founded in 1994, offers the largest film program in the Northwest.

Our program is well-known for both the small size of our classes and our commitment to hands-on education. The faculty members of the Seattle Film Institute are not only dedicated teachers but they are also experienced professionals in their chosen fields. The large inventory of equipment provided by the Seattle Film Institute means that from Final Cut Pro to Arriflex cameras, students have access to all the tools they need to produce professsional quality results.

The Seattle Film Institute is centrally located in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle and is less than 10 minutes from downtown.

The SFI Mission:
To provide students with the knowledge, skills, tools, and experience that are needed:
- To pursue a career in the motion picture industry
- To follow their own creative path as independent filmmakers or screenwriters
- To furnish a foundation in filmmaking for work in digital video or on the web
