Arrivals, departures, trips and adventures loom large in Perri’s studio work and life. Drawing inspiration from recent travels in India, Ireland and Scotland, her multi-layered compositions focus on thresholds where land meets sky, sea meets shore, and where one’s inner landscape converges with the outside world. Through listening closely to our environments, one may derive a deeper sense of place. BiographyRaised in Marblehead, MA, Perri attended The Evergreen State College and received her MFA in Printmaking from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2001.  She is the recent recipient of an Artist Trust Fellowship Grant for Interdisciplinary Arts and is an emerging public artist. Her favorite instrument is a hand-held compass. Awards and Honors2006 Fellowship Award – Artist Trust for Washington State 2004 GAP Award – Artist Trust for Washington State 2004 Project Grant – Land Surveyors Assn. of Washington, Puget Sound Chapter, Renton, WA 2003 Artist Support Program – Jack Straw Productions, Seattle, WA 2003 Emerging Public Artists Program – Seattle Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs 2002 Special Projects Grant - King County Arts Commission 1999 Cranbrook Academy of Art Tuition Grant 1996 Project Grant - UW School of Art, Seattle, WA 1995 UW Gonzales Scholarship for the Arts 1994 Evergreen Foundation Grant – The Evergreen State College 1994 Evergreen Thesis Grant – The Evergreen State College Contact InformationPerri LynchVelocity Made GoodPO BOX 15530Seattle, WA 98115206.617.7686perri@velocitymadegood.org RepresentationSeattle Art Museum Gallery Artist's Websitehttp://www.velocitymadegood.org Posted by perri | November 16, 2007 - 5:49pm
