ArtsWest, a gallery and theater located in West Seattle, is now accepting submissions from established, mid-career and emerging Pacific Northwest visual artists who wish to be considered for inclusion in 1 of 12 two to three artists shows in 2008-2009. 

A committee of jurors will select artists based on high standards of creativity, quality and professionalism.  The majority of artwork selected will be 2D, however some 3D pieces will also be selected. Additionally, glass, pottery, and jewelry artists are encouraged to apply for selection in the gift gallery.  All artists will be notified by May 31. 

ArtsWest is a non-profit arts organization, producing artistic events so fiercely compelling that they require conversation, improve the imagination, and promote cultural vibrancy as a core value.  ArtsWest Playhouse and Gallery is located at 4711 California Ave SW in West Seattle.

Interested artists should submit:

• Four (4) entries as jpg files on CD only.  CD must be both PC and Macintosh compatible.  Digital files should be saved as jpg files sized at 300 dpi with a height of 1200 pixels, (width will vary according to vertical or horizontal image). Label each jpg file with your first initial, last name and the artwork title: first initial_last name_title. (Label CD with name only)
• Name, address, telephone, website, if available, and email address should be included with a typed artist statement and resume.
• Typed list of entries with title, medium, dimensions, & price.
• Group entries will be considered for an exhibit, but must include at least 12 entries; entries should focus on members’ work that is representative of the group. (Call if necessary for clarification.)

ArtsWest will accept submissions with digital entries ONLY. 
DO NOT SEND PHOTOGRAPHS or ORIGINAL ART.   

Please note:

• CDs and info will not be returned unless the artist has included a self-addressed envelope with sufficient postage.
• All artists tentatively selected will be considered with the option to view the original artwork, before final acceptance.
• There is no fee for this call to art. 

 Submission deadline has been extended!  Entry must be received by 5pm on March 31st, 2008.
