Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Council / Website Design / Request For Proposals (RFP) 

The Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Council invites proposals to redesign its website, www.shorelinearts.net. Qualified vendors interested in being considered for this project should send a written proposal mailed to Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Council, 18560 1st Ave. NE, Shoreline, WA 98155, Attention: Executive Director Nancy Frey, (206) 417-4645. Vendor proposals must be received at the Arts Council office by 5pm Friday, February 29, 2008.

Proposals should include an outline of the process and cost to redesign and rebuild the website that will be maintained by staff using Dreamweaver. The proposal should include: the cost for reformatting approximately 100 existing pages; the cost of training staff, the cost of training staff, the cost per hour for enhancements and additions to the website once it is up and operating, a project timeline, a list of at least three existing websites built and designed by the vendor, three references, and a resume.

Key elements to be addressed included in the proposal are:
Graphic Design – Visual impact and look of the pages, unique designs for different levels of pages, look of button and other navigation tools
Information Architecture – Organization of information, user ease and ability to find information, search functions

Content Management System – Ease of maintenance is key, features such as audio and video clip capability and other upgrades recommended for current site (recommendations for other software or CMS will be considered, but the cost and justification must be included in the proposal)

The Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Council Mission Statement
The Shoreline-LFP Arts Council is a community-based arts organization whose mission is to nurture and support the arts in Shoreline and Lake Forest Park. We:

Promote public awareness of the arts in the community;
Coordinate and sponsor performances, exhibitions, and other art programs, activities and events which will benefit and complement the total community development;

Advocate support for the arts, arts programs and organizations in the community;
Sponsor, present, promote and support educational programs for the benefit of the community concerning all aspects of the visual and performing arts; and
Provide financial and other support for arts organizations, artists, arts activities and projects.

Vision Statement
The Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Council values the arts as basic to the human spirit, as creative connections to a diverse world, and as a measure of civilization. The vision of the Council is that the arts be a valued and integral part of the Shoreline-Lake Forest Park community, ensuring a higher quality of life for all residents and the community as a whole.
