 The Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs is accepting funding applications for its Youth Arts program. The program supports arts training for Seattle’s middle and high school youth outside of school hours and provides project-based support in all artistic disciplines from visual arts to theater to dance and film. Individual artists, artist teams, arts and cultural organizations, and/or youth-service agencies with nonprofit status or sponsorship are eligible to apply. Priority is placed on serving youth or communities with limited access to arts and culture. Funding awards range up to $10,000 for projects that take place between September 2008 and September 2009. Applications may be delivered to the Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs by 5 p.m. or postmarked by the U.S. Post Office by April 28.
