Mayor's Office of Arts & Culture / Seeks Student Intern 

The Office of the Mayor, Seattle seeks a student intern to provide support at various events during the summer months including "Seattle Presents", a noontime concert series at City Hall, the Mayor's Art Awards, possible expanded evening performances in the downtown parks and other office events and projects.

Applicants must be enrolled full time undergraduate juniors or seniors or graduate level students persuing a degree in marketing, communications, performing arts or event management. Students enrolled full time for fall 2008 are eligible to work in the summer. Skills required include proficiencey in MS Word and Excel, performing web searches, strong verbal and written communications and quick and collaborative problem solving. Applicants must have a current valid Washington State Drivers License.

Compensation is $16.62/hour for undergraduates and $24.16/hour for graduate students. Work is scheduled between 8AM and 9 PM Monday through Friday and must include Thursday evenings. Work hours are part time up to 20 hours during the school year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer.
