4Culture seeks Heritage Organizations and Heritage Specialists to create innovative exhibitions related to King County history. Projects may include museum exhibits, video, documentation projects, website projects, technical assistance programs, oral histories or other activities. Awards typically range from $1,000 to $10,000. Although not required, applicants are encouraged to consider a theme related to 2008 as the 100th anniversary of the Alaska Yukon Pacific Exhibition, Seattle's first "world's fair."

Free public workshops will be held offering prospective applicants the opportunity to meet with program staff and other applicants, and will offer a step-by-step explanation of the application process.

Workshops will be held in Seattle, at 4Culture's offices on:
Thursday, March 27th, Noon to 1:30 PM
Thursday, April 3rd, Noon to 1:30 PM
Thursday, April 10th, Noon to 1:30 PM
Thursday, April 17th, Noon to 1:30 PM
Thursday, April 24th, Noon to 1:30 PM

One workshop will held in Kent on Thursday, March 27th, Noon to 1:30 PM at Kent City Hall, Council Chambers, 220 4th Ave. S., Kent, WA.
