Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs / Seattle Civic Square Project / Seeks Artists

The Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs, in partnership with Fleets and Facilities Department and Triad Development seeks an artist to serve on the design team for the Seattle Civic Square. The Seattle Civic Square is an open space planned for the downtown block where the Public Safety Building once stood. The call is open to established professional artists living in Washington, Oregon, California or British Columbia. Artists who work in glass or light media are encouraged to apply.

Triad will develop the site, which will combine a large public plaza space, designed to resurrect the social, cultural and civic foundations of a traditional village square with 21st century office, residential and retail space. The selected artist will work on the plaza with an international design team. The budget will include $250,000 to $300,000 for design, fabrication and installation.
