Ever wondered what made the web tick? This class will introduce the internet and web design to students from the bottom up; It will cover the basics of HTML coding, writing cascading style sheets (CSS), implementing javascript, and embedding video. Following through the process of conceptualizing, structuring and deploying electronic media via the Internet, students will create a Graphical User Interface to display their work. All these skill are taught with media and internet literacy in mind, focusing on building technical as well as analytical skills. While the emphasis will be on hand coding the languages in question, dreamweaver will be presented as an option, allowing students to find the right fit for them.
