6th Day Dance seeks a part time Development Director to design, execute and manage a successful fundraising program that creates sustainable long lasting funding from individual and corporate donors. This is a unique opportunity to develop a comprehensive program from the ground up. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Development Director will work closely with Board leadership to enhance the Board's fundraising efforts, with an emphasis on individual donor and corporate sponsorship. Main Objectives: 1)   Design fundraising program to cultivate long lasting funding from individuals. 2)   Plan and co-ordinate fundraising events. 3)   Follow up with individuals/patrons after company shows and fundraising events to include phone conversation and written acknowledgments when cash or in kind donations received. 4)  Maintain ongoing mailing list of donors, patrons, and school students Description of Specific Duties: 1) Create and plan fundraising events. 2) Cultivate relationships via phone calls with patrons and individuals who attend 6th Day shows/fundraising events. 3) Create written acknowledgment letters for in-kind and cash donations to be mailed within one month of donations to donor. File both electronic and paper version of all written acknowledgements 4) Work with graphic artist and Executive Director in creating marketing materials for fundraising program. 5) Maintain and update data spread sheet of mailing list to include patrons, donors, and students 6) Perform other duties as needed to fulfill fundraising agenda.
