Nordic Artists' Center, Dale, Norway / Residencies 

NDK, the Nordic Artists' Centre in Dale, Norway offers 3 residency programs to visual artists and writers, researchers and groups. The program's mission is to encourage international contacts for artists and focuses on visual culture including design and architecture, locally rooted practice and Nordic as well as international processes. The selected individuals will receive a monthly stipend material allowance and a travel grant.

Applications are assessed on the basis of a specific proposal and the quality of work and experience. Proposals in all three programs should include a plan for the use of the studio over the three-six month period(4-6 weeks for groups and researchers). The residency programs are:

Regular Program 2009 - open application for residencies in visual cultural practices for artists, designers and architects (14-16 individuals will be selected)

Program for Groups 2009 - residencies for groups presenting innovative projects experimenting with visual culture, design and architecture (2 groups will be selected)

Research Program 2009 - residencies for researchers - theorists, writers, curators focusing on visual culture including design and architecture (2 individuals selected)

Submit:

- A curriculum vitae
- A short statement of artistic concerns (max 200 words)
- Expression of interest proposal for the residency at nkd (max 200 words)
- Up to 8, low-resolution images of recent work (CD/Prints/Slides) fully captioned and/or
- DVD (3-5 min sound or video) fully captioned and/or
- Link to a web site and/or
- Publication
