Light in the Attic Records, a Seattle-based label, seeks motivated smart music savvy interns. Current opportunities are 2 to 3 unpaid positions in the press department and 2 to 3 unpaid positions in the retail department (school credit is available.) Interns must be available to work 12-16 hours per week, preferably broken into two 6-8 hours shifts, however a more flexible schedule can be arranged. (Hours must fall between 9AM and 5PM.) General qualificiations include strong organizational ability and attention to detail, being a team player yet self motivated, strong ability to think outside the box, computer skills in Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Specific responsibilties for the press positions include: performing web-based research; assisting with mailings, venue follow ups  and press requests; Contributing marketing and promo concepts; performing general office/administrative duties.  Specific responsibilties for the retail positions include: Processing phone, fax and web site orders; Assisting in maintaining warehouse inventory control, report shortages and/or damages; General packing and shipping; promo mailings; general office work. Please email resume and cover letter to: Press: Kate Peterson – kate@lightintheattic.net Updated 7/2/08 |
