Seattle Art Museum's 75th Anniversary "Party in the Park" at the Olympic Sculpture Park

Seattle Art Museum's fundraiser for its 75th anniversary with a diamond studded birthday bash, Party in the Park. The party will feature live music, performance art, dancing, cocktails and party fare. Proceeds will benefit the museum’s artistic, educational and operational programs.There is a special $75 ticket price for artists (regular tickets are $175/$275). Party in the Park features an evening of entertainment, including the San Francisco-based Neil Diamond cover band Super Diamond, dancing to some of the Seattle area’s hottest DJs and a host of roving musicians and artists. Attendees will get the first look at Dennis Oppenheim’s new installation at the park, Safety Cones, five fiberglass traffic cones that stand eighteen-feet high. The highlight of the party will be the performance of Hallucination City, a symphony of electric guitars written by the renown avant-garde composer Glenn Branca and performed at Party in the Park by local guitarists.
