Oslo Screen Festival 2008 seeks innovative and experimental short video works on the theme of alterity / identity. No entry fee. Grand prize is €1000. The festival takes place in Oslo, Norway, October 24th - 26th, 2008.Â
Guidelines:
The festival entry is free.
Submitted videos must have been completed after January 2006
Running time 10 min maximum.
Participants can submit only one work.
Deadline for sending the required material is June 30th (postmarked).
Application form must be completed online.
A DVD should be sent by post accompanied by a printed version of the application form.
The DVD should be labeled with title, author’s name, running time and aspect ratio.
Videos without application form will not be accepted for the competition.
Copies will not be returned, but will be kept in the festival archive.
All deliveries from international participants must be marked: NO COMMERCIAL VALUE, CULTURAL PURPOSES ONLY.
Shipping expenses is the responsibility of the entrant.
Non-English spoken videos should have English subtitles.
For the selected videos the applicants must send a Mini-DV.
The submissions will be selected by an invited jury. All decisions are final.
An award of €1000 will be given to the best video.
All filmmakers will be informed by email of the selection results by the end of August.
