Grand Impromptu Gallery / Seeks New Members 

The Grand Impromptu Gallery is currently seeking several artists to join our team who own and operate this cooperative gallery in downtown Tacoma. Our need is for two more 3-D artists (preferably not stone) but all submissions 2-D and 3-D will be considered. The gallery offers an exciting opportunity for artists to display and sell their artwork in an attractive gallery setting in downtown Tacoma on a thriving block that includes the Grand Tacoma Cinema, Two Vaults Gallery and Corina Bakery. Members make a commitment that includes new work for every exhibit (every 4-6 weeks), monthly financial commitment of $100, 15-20 hours a month that includes staffing the gallery, attendance at monthly meeting, and attendance at artist receptions. Members share in gallery management, which includes curating exhibits, hanging artwork, bookkeeping, publicity, hosting receptions, graphic and web design and more. Interested artists should visit the gallery prior to submitting a portfolio. The mission of the Grand Imprompu Gallery is to maintian a gallery space to exhibit and sell the artwork of member artists and provide a space for art to happen in both traditional and non-traditional ways. Members are Bill Colby, Becky Frehse, Bea Geller, Trinda Love, Dorothy McCuistion, Susan Paredes, LeeAnn Perry, Betty Sapp Ragan and Chip Van Gilder.
