The mission of the Guitar Center Music Foundation is to:
aid nonprofit music programs across America that offer music instruction so that more people can experience the joys of making music.

Applications are accepted throughout the year from 501 (c) (3) organizations. These organizations are general those who work to prioved people of any age who would not otherwise have the opporunity to make music.

The foundation does not fund:
Individuals
For-Profit Enterprises
Entertainment
Event Sponsorship
Professional Musicians
Artists In School Assemblies
Uniforms
Sheet Music
School Owned After-School Programs
Music Appreciation
General Operating Expenses
Music Production
Recording Studios, including educational recording studios
Salaries
