Sep 5 2008 - 6:00pm Oct 24 2008 - 10:00pm 8 Weeks of Wax This eight week encaustic class is suitable for new and experienced encaustic artists. You will be introduced to the basics of encaustic painting with demonstrations of new techniques each week. You will explore traditional encaustic techniques as well as stenciling, collage, solvent transfers, working with glue and shellac, as well as encaustic on paper and cloth. We will also cover incorporating prints and photography in a variety of experimental techniques.  Instructor - Shaun Doll Fridays – 6:00 to 10:00 pm Number of sessions 8 9/5/08 – 10/24/08 Cost – $340.00 Shaun Doll has been part of the Seattle printmaking community for the past eight years. At Pratt he teaches printmaking as well as regularly assisting in printmaking and encaustic classes. He is the founder of North West Encaustic a facility for working artists and encaustic students.
