The Spokane Arts Commission announces an open call of nominations for the 2008 City of Spokane Arts Awards. The 17th Annual Arts Awards will be presented in six categories during a public meeting of the Spokane City Council Monday, October 6th, 2008 at 6pm. A reception will be held following the presentation to honor this year’s nominees and recipients. Individuals, organizations and businesses are encouraged to nominate candidates for these awards in the following categories: Individual Artist; Arts Organization; Arts in Education; Individual Benefactor; Business Benefactor; and Arts Community Leadership.
