The Uncommon Thread Wearable Art Show is now accepting entries. This multi-disciplinary presentation of wearable art takes place annually in Baton Rouge, LA. Selected artwork is displayed in a live exhibition, supported by dancers, music, professional lighting and creative staging. Models are not bound by catwalks and the audience is not asked to remain seated. This is an active art experience for the audience that celebrates the artists. The 2008 Uncommon Thread Wearable Art Show, with the theme "Force," will take place on October 18th at 8:00pm at the Louisiana State Museum, 660 North 4th Street, Baton Rouge, LA. Selected entries will be featured in the Uncommon Thread Exhibition at the same venue from October 20th - November 14th, 2008. The call for entry is open to artists of every field and professional level. Artists are encouraged to push the bounds of sculpture and apparel design to create an encompassing work of art, for which the whole body is the canvas. Cash Prizes.
