South by Southwest (SXSW) is now accepting submissions to the 2009 Film Conference and Festival. SXSW is a private company in Austin, TX dedicated to building and delivering conference and festival events for entertainment and related media industry professionals. The SXSW Film Conference and Festival will take place in March, 2009 during the annual SXSWeek.

Films will be screened in the following categories: Narrative Feature, Documentary Feature, Narrative Short, Documentary Short, Animated Short, Experimental Short, and Music Video.

Keep in mind:
- to qualify as a short, your film must be 40 minutes or less
- experimental shorts are those without a narrative thread

Submission fee is $25 for shorts and $35 for features until November 14, 2008. At that time fees will increase to $35 for shorts and $45 for features until the final postmark deadline of December 12, 2008.
