Influenced by the Pop Art Movement of the time he began developing his imagery whilst working as an assistant for Richard Serra. Mick’s new work consists of large carved timbers influenced by ladders of the Dogon Peoples of East Mali. With sculpted boundaries, metal cladding, and brilliant pigmentation, these works evoke a sense of evolution and family systems.
