Oct 18 2008 - 2:00pm Oct 18 2008 - 4:00pm Seattle, WA - Local author Javier Amaya reads from his new publication in English "Tales of Love and Distance". Originally published in Spanish in 2001, this collection of six short stories, was selected for translation by the arts organization 4Culture in the 2008 Individual Projects competition. The translation was provided by House of Writers / Casa de Escritores translation staff. The characters for his short stories are mostly Latin Americans searching for themselves in other parts of the world while missing their native homeland. The author will be available for signing after the reading.
