Our blog lists upcoming benefit events in Washington.

The needs are overwhelming. Thousands are believed to be trapped in collapsed buildings after the 7.0 magnitude earthquake, with an additional 3 million Haitians in need of aid. The Red Cross estimates as many as 50,000 may be dead. Survivors are digging through the rubble with their hands in a desperate attempt to rescue those who are trapped. The Red Cross has committed $10 million to the Haiti relief effort. They've now raised an unprecedented $3.4 million from cell phone donations alone!

With water and medical supplies in short supply, and the Haitian government paralyzed, international aid efforts in the next few days will be critical to prevent more human suffering. Please help if you can.
