Support Art

Artist Trust is a critical component to our well-rounded community. This organization gives support to artists to create their work, while other arts organizations display the work of artists. Making a gift to Artist Trust is like supporting several dozen local artists around the state. Supporting Artist Trust has provided me a simple avenue for impacting the lives of many individual artists.

Art is an essential element in our lives. Individual donors, artist members, local and national foundations, corporations, and arts agencies – all contribute to help Artist Trust develop and sustain resources for musicians, performers, literary and visual artists, and all the creative individuals who enrich our lives through their original works.

Direct support to artists is important, because few resources are available to serve the artists who create the paintings and sculptures, plays and dances, musical compositions, films, novels, etc. Even in school, few artists learn the professional practices that will sustain a livelihood. While the majority of cultural philanthropy goes to institutions that present the work of artists, Artist Trust stands for supporting the artists themselves.

Strong evidence from recent economic impact studies supports the fact that artists contribute to both cultural and economic vitality. Artists deserve excellent resources. Artist Trust programs enrich community by creating direct connections to artists.

Artist membership, annual gifts, multi-year pledges, endowment gifts, grants and sponsorships – all contributions support art at its source.
